Frown Lines and Forehead Lines
Causes and treatments
There are different types of wrinkles, and many factors play a role in their development. Dermal fillers are used to replace lost volume in the face, thereby correcting the overlying wrinkles, lines and folds. Botox and Xeomin are used to relax the muscles that cause frown lines and crow’s feet. However, when these treatments are unable to fully correct lines and wrinkles, or when skin texture and tone also needs to be addressed, then fractional laser resurfacing becomes the best option.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which treatment is best?
We will perform a thorough consultation with you in order to determine whether Botox, dermal fillers, fractional laser skin resurfacing, or some other treatment, or combination of different treatments, may be best for your particular concerns and your skin type.
Who will perform my treatment?
That depends on the specific procedure. However, when you choose North Sound Dermatology Aesthetics, you can feel confident knowing that your provider is highly-trained, experienced, and properly certified on the devices that they use. Our team includes Board-Certified Dermatologists, Board-Certified Dermatology PAs, Board-Certified Dermatology ARNPs, and Master Medical Aestheticians. We are a national training center for the Palomar 1540 fractional laser that we use in our office and we train dermatologists and plastic surgeons from in and out of state.
Are wrinkles treatments permanent?
The duration of results varies, depending on the treatment used. Typically, most patients will not need a touch-up for several years after their initial treatment. No cosmetic treatment, including a facelift, can stop the aging process from progressing, which is why touch-ups are often necessary.
